- Implementation or migration plan approved by stakeholders
- MOP reviewed by operations and engineering leads
- Rollback procedure documented and understood by executors
- Maintenance window approved and communicated
- Dependencies on third-party vendors confirmed
Pre-Deployment Validation
- Lab or staging validation completed for critical changes
- Configuration backups captured and verified restorable
- Pre-check script or manual checklist executed successfully
- Traffic or workload impact assessed and communicated
- Emergency contacts and escalation path confirmed
Execution Readiness
- Executor and reviewer roles assigned for each MOP step
- Console/API access verified for all participants
- Change ticket or approval record linked to MOP
- Monitoring dashboards open for affected systems
- Rollback trigger criteria defined before starting
Post-Deployment Validation
- Post-check script or manual checklist defined
- Acceptance criteria documented with pass/fail thresholds
- Smoke tests identified for critical paths
- Operational handoff scheduled if new systems introduced
- Documentation update tasks assigned for completion
Operational Handoff
- Runbooks updated for new or changed infrastructure
- Alert thresholds reviewed and adjusted if needed
- Operations team briefed on change summary and known issues
- Open items tracked with owners and target dates
- Post-deployment review scheduled within agreed timeframe
